To the Hendrickson family, I worked at Labatt, with Jeff, for 30+ years. He was always a nice guy with a "knowing" grin. I seem to remember him also claiming to be the Sudoku king as well. Another one of the good guys gone too soon! My sympathies.

Life's Journey

It's been said that life is a journey and not a destination.
Never alone when it starts, but still fragile in life's creation.
In youth we're guided by family, friends and our imagination.
We start to wander our own paths, explore with fascination.

Sister Dawn, cared for and watched him grow, her contribution.
Crossing paths, friends who change our course, by persuasion.
If the road gets rough, we march on in determination.
We may stumble, even fall, facing all manner of frustration.

One day finding that someone, with mutual attraction.
Jeff, surrounded by girls, sister, wives and daughters, true affection.
Mirroring his passion, honesty and wit, their reflection.
Worked his whole life with Labatt's Brewery, his ambition.

His love of sports, his family and life-long friends, an inspiration.
An honest man, good father, true friend, his reputation.
The loss of his own father, years past, the corner of his foundation.
Stood proud to shoulder his mother, Pat, provide his direction.

Life is about living and we too have enjoyed many a Penticton vacation.
It's not always the choices we make that determines our direction.
But make no mistake; life, this adventure comes with danger and salvation.
Twists and turns, switchbacks and dead ends, from birth until cremation.

There are no words that can portray the depth of our emotion.
Just to know that we are here to share our compassion.
We have all been touch by Jeff's smile and eternal devotion.
And will always remember him the way he lived, a life of celebration.

Jeff was always the funniest and wittiest guy on our hockey teams. Playing with Jeff on the outdoor rinks at Malmo as children and through our teen years are cherished memories. Thank you Jeff for the countless witty repartee comebacks and endless laughter.
