Just heard of your departure, so sorry but I know you made the most of your life and enjoyed it to the fullest. As life does, we drifted apart and went different paths but memories last forever and I have many with you. Proud to say I was the drummer in your first band "The Shanes" Enjoy your next chapter!. Wow! I just heard of Jeff´s passing this past weekend. I met Jeff at trinity prep the fist year it opened. We have been good friends since. Jeff introduced me to so much great music that I would have never heard of without him. Ry Cooder, John Prine and the like. My guess is, he is play with them now.

Our family met Jeff through Rachel many years ago and Jeff was so good to my Mom and Dad on their visits to Highland. Jeff and Rachel made the trip to Pebble Beach/Monterey CA for my Dads 90th and it was very special for my Dad to have them both attend. I know Jeff and Dad are enjoying a beer in heaven. Sending prayers and peaceful thoughts to Rachel and the Schenck family.

When I think of Jeff, I think of all the Schenck clan. I spent a fair of amount of time in my early 20's at their Palmer Avenue house and admittedly wandered over more than once on Family holiday gatherings - it was a great group to be with. Thank you all for being so welcoming. Pat and Randy have stayed in contact for 50 years. That has been wonderful gift. Bless you both.
Jeff I recall was in charge of at least one if not several backyard corn roasts. Beer (Miller of course) and sweet corn with friends. It does not not get much better than that. When Jeff and I got together, it was to play tennis at the Strong family tennis court next door to our respective homes. Jeff was nice to let me win a set or two. What I remember most about Jeff is music, especially on social occasions - in the house or in the backyard and perhaps down on the dock. His talent and enthusiasm made any event better.
While still living in Florida, Jeff frequented Mosquito Lagoon to relax and fish. A good way to chill out even on a hot summer day. I agree with his former Trinity teacher, fishing beats studying chemistry any time. We can all celebrate his many accomplishments and the fact that we had the opportunity to know him.

With very deepest sympathy to all the Schenck Family -some 53 years ago Page was partly responsible for our settling in Winter Park - Jay always helped me and our community- Jeff was just a young fellow when we arrived who filled his father's shoes as a friend and wonderful patron of his communities- just difficult to read of his passing and loss of a second generation of friends as we are traveling in Europe . My fondest memory of Jeff was hanging out with him at Senior Point. I felt completely comfortable with him whether we were shooting the breeze, sharing deep concerns, or sitting in silence watching the light on the lake. I never saw him after high school, but I have always held him in high esteem. His death leaves a big hole in a lot of hearts. I am holding the whole Schenck clan in my thoughts and prayers.

Jeff and I had a truly epic journey together. Hitchhiking to New Orleans for a Festival of Life that was billed as another Woodstock. That it was not.
But I still talk about it. Even the other day at breakfast with the guests.
Managed to get there in two rides. One to Tallahassee. Then a man in a red Catalina convertible gave us a ride. We bought him dinner and a six pack. Ended up driving and woke him when we got there. That was just part of the story. Truly a great guy. God bless.

It's always sad when someone from your past passes - but that's where we are in life. It sounds like Jeff had a good life, so carry on to the next stage of whatever this is, Jeff. Mark Williamson, Class of 1972

So sad to hear of Jeff's passing. We were classmates at Trinity and his mom, Paige, and my mom were close friends. I remember him as being a very kind and fun loving! My condolences to the family and may God's peace surround you during this difficult time.

Jeff and I shared Trinity Prep time as members of the Class of 1971. We played football and better times as classmates there. We also shared a house off campus at University of Florida in Gainesville where I got to know how good a musician and friend he was! I have fond memories of those younger years and times in Blowing Rock NC. Unfortunately we went our separate ways as life does to all of us but the memories I have brings a good feeling and smile now. I know you are missed greatly by many and yes you left too soon. Yet a life well lived is something you had and many do not get. So when bluegrass plays you will be on my mind good buddy! Thankful for the times we shared in our lives and may God´s grace and love go to all of your family and loved ones! Heaven got a great addition!

We had a great time banging on the keys at JBs in the 70s when it first opened. Our families had such a tight bond.

My memories of Jeff, is with Rachel, myself and my husband Mike, who shared the same birthday as Jeff. We have enjoyed each others company as close friends here in winter park and in highlands for the past 6 years. We bonded and touched each other's hearts through a love of the places we lived, laughter, music, wine, friendship, good conversation and the joy of life. Jeff and Rachel were our constant companions weekly... on each other's porch, dining out or social events. We were lucky enough to be touched by Jeff. Our hearts go out to Jeff's family. Love, Annette and Mike.

Sorry to hear of his passing at such an early age! Glad that he had over 10 years away from the family business so he could enjoy his hobbies & artistic talent! Shortly after I sold my Miller beer distributorship, we went on a fishing trip in CostaRica which we enjoyed very much with he & Minter - released lots of sailfish!! I knew Jeff from the beer business and our mutual work on the Beer Industry of Florida and he was good people to work with & rely on!! Our condolences to the children/family!!
May he be a good addition to the Bands in Heaven!
