WILFIDO BARELA Willie (Little Willie) joined his beloved wife on June 22, 2011 to be with our Heavenly Father. He was born on Nov. 28, 1941 in Jarless, New Mexico. In 1957 Willie and his family moved to Barstow. He attended Barstow Union High School, then enlisted in the U. S. Navy. He worked for MCLB for 41 years. His co-worker and friends knew him as Little Willie. He was married for 44 years and was a devoted husband, father and grandfather. He was proceeded in death by his wife, Mary Barela; father, Ernesto Zamora; mothe,r Carmen Zamora; brothers, Lawrence Zamora and Abram Zamora. Willie is survived by his daughter, Sophia Barela; sons, Dominic and his wife, Rosalie, Adonis and his wife, Stacy and Michael Gosnay. Grandchildren Andrew, OJ, Augustina, Sarah, Trinidy and AJ. Great grandchild Little Andrew. Brothers, Gene Zamora, Cheyenne Wyo. Jake Zamora, Albuquerque N.M. Phillip Zamora, Buena Park, Ca. Sisters Edwinia Zamora, Barstow, Ca. Alice Zamora, Colorado Springs, Colo. Maryann Manning, Kesgo Harbor, Mich. Willie was a member of S1. Joseph Catholic Church since 1957, where he helped with Martha Meals and enjoyed other activities. Some of his favorite hobbies were going hunting and going to garage sales. He was also known as the pillar of his community and some referred to him as their guardian angel. He will be dearly missed but never forgotten. A Celebration of Willie's Life will be held on Tuesday June 28, 2011, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 505 East Mountain View in Barstow. Visitation will begin at 9 a.m., with Rosary at 10 a.m., and Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. Burial will follow at Mountain View Memorial Park, 37067 Irwin Road in Barstow.
