Jeffery F. Hummel

Jeffery F. Hummel, age 53, of North Canton, born July 15, 1957, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family and friends on January 24, 2011.A loving husband, father and friend, he touched the lives of many throughout the North Canton community. Jeff was an owner of Hummel's IGA, charter member of the Greentown J.C.'s and member of the Greentown VFW, Post 9904. He then ventured on to work for Hummel's Inc., doing business as North Canton Apples and continued working for Canal Fulton Giant Eagle. His positive attitude and big heart served many as he worked in the grocery business. Jeff enjoyed the Hummel's golf league, the annual tradition of the "Pigdog", spent his summers poolside and spent the fall cheering on the Browns and Buckeyes. He leaves behind to cherish his memory, wife Jule Hummel; daughter, Jeanette Hummel; son Ted Hummel; brother, Michael Hummel; nephew Jason Hummel; mother, Shirley Hertler; Aunt Linda Hall of New York; uncle Tom Harmon of Uniontown, as well as a number of nieces, nephews and cousins. Family and friends are invited to join in the celebration of Jeff "Hulk" Hummel's life on Friday January 28, 2011 at 11:00a.m. in the Reed Funeral Home North Canton Chapel, 801 Pittsburg Ave. N.W. with Funeral Celebrant Gary Smith officiating. Visitation with the family will be held from 10-11a.m. in the funeral home.
