Abbott Family & Friends,
I am so deeply sorry for your loss. I went to school with Kim and swam on the Franklin Academy swim team with her. Jeff was one of Kim's biggest fans & one of the best cheerleader's our swim team had. He was very supportive of his family and wished the best for every one.
May your memories of him warm your heart & bring a smile to your face. My thoughts & prayers are with you in your time of sadness.

Dear Janine & family,
I was profoundly saddened to hear of the loss of Jeff. He was an inspiration to so many and now the stars will forever shine brighter. I hope that the attached poem will offer you some comfort.
Sincerely,
Greg
Softly Sprinkled Rain
A flower closes
as it dances on a twilight breeze
the clouds float by
as the sun says goodnight
and nothing seems changed
as the glow fades from sight
But this day is different
because of one silenced voice
a loved one has left us
and we’re faced with a choice
Do we renew our faith
and be thankful for time
or simply grieve with questions
and look for a sign
For it can be easy to show anger
or perhaps to feel blame
but instead simply remember
as you whisper their name
Strive to remember the joy
of the laughter once shared
and to make them a promise
that they’ll always be here
That you will include them in thought
as each new day dawns
whispering their name softly
as each day rolls on
For they will surely return this favor
as they help ease your pain
by opening flowers with gentle breezes
and softly sprinkled rain

Jeff Abbott was a great man and a great friend who, along with Janine, was always willing to help with anything to benefit the people & communities of the North Country. He was a highly-skilled & safety-conscious pilot, and I was proud to be his Wingman on some wonderful flights over our beloved Adirondacks.
Professionally and Personally, one thing was certain: you could always count on Jeff Abbott to do the right thing.
Loved by all, he will be deeply missed. Our hearts are with Janine, Kimmy, Billy, and of course, Mrs. Mary Ellen Abbott, who, with incredible strength and grace, has endured more than any Mother should ever have to. God Bless You. And please know that we stand with you.

Jeff, like his fathter, was always a straight shooter -and always a joy to work with. The last time I saw Jeff was in Lake Placid where we tipped a few at the Cottage. He was a terrific guy, a real beer man. Here's to you, Jeff.
