January 6, 2010

It has been 6 weeks since he passed. For most of us, the tempestuous winds no longer blow, but the landscape inside our minds resembles the wrecked and torn remains of a town ravaged by a punishing storm. Shock has faded to sorrow, cold and dark in its recompense and sometimes almost impossible to bear. We hope that Jeff left knowing just how much we loved him; perhaps he can yet feel it.

We cannot breech this ultimate divide for Jeff, but we do find a scarce consolation in our collective memories of him, celebrating his wonderful humanity, generosity and example.

The rest is simply beyond words for now.

Emitte lucem et veritatem - Send out light and truth.
