Jeffrey Martin Bordelon

Jeffrey Martin Bordelon passed away at his home surrounded by his adoring family on May 24, 2011 at the age of 52. Jeff graduated from the University of New Orleans with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting and earned the designation of CPA. He was employed by Gulf Coast Office Products as Chief Operating Officer as well as Chief Financial Officer. In his life, he continuously grew as a genuinely spiritual man with a deep love for God expressed in his gentle humility, kindness, selflessness, and patience towards others. He had an ongoing desire to help the cause of Catholic apologetics and evangelization and helped to found St. Michael Communications, a radio program sponsoring Catholic radio in the New Orleans area. Jeff was a parishioner of St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church, attended Manresa retreats annually, and was involved in pro-life activities in his parish and community. In his lifetime, he stood out as a man of character, of intelligence and wit, as a man striving to be his best in every moment and in every decision. Jeff wanted to be remembered as a man who loved his family, who was thankful for his friends, and who tried to serve God. He will be remembered as that and more, for he touched all of us with his kindness and example. Although simple, his life was truly a wonderful life. He is survived by his loving wife “Tina� Santine D’Antoni Bordelon; seven children: Megan, Lauren, Matthew, Jennifer, Catherine, Michael and Margaret Bordelon; his parents James C. and Elizabeth Homer Bordelon Sr.; and his brothers Jimmy Jr. (Sindy), André (Gail), and René (Jeanne) Bordelon. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Mass at St. Charles Borromeo Church, 13396 River Road, Destrehan on Friday May 27, 2011 at 1:00 PM. Visitation will begin at 10:00 AM and end at 1:00 PM. Interment will follow at St. Charles Borromeo Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, a donation account has been set up to assist medical and educational needs for the Bordelon family.
