Sincere sympathies to Dr. Bowden's family. As a patient a couple years ago at the Westside office, he told me about his fight against the cancer and a couple of cute stories about him taking his granddaughter to Target to buy her a costume; his son and wife going on a cruise; and how much he loved and enjoyed being with his family for the weekly Wednesday night meals. May you find comfort in all the love and memories.

The Baltimore cousins - Ruth, Jay, Pat, Paul, Bridget and Tracy have warm memories of growing up together with Jeff whether crabbing and fishing at Chincoteague island or having chicken and dumplins'a at our grandparents on 29th street. We had a marvelous ride. For his children and grandkids - may you continue as do we to hold Jeffrey in your loving hearts. Ruth

You were a light to so many people at Ackerman Cancer Center who were going through some of their darkest days. I witnessed your illumination to others daily. You helped my mother get through her treatments, and I thank you for that. Rest In Peace, Dr. Jeff.

My mother and I met Dr. Jeff at the Ackerman Cancer Center where my mother was receiving Proton radiation treatments. We developed a friendship with Dr. Jeff who was always upbeat, friendly, and encouraging to so many patients. He was a teaser and always made the patients and their family smile. As I write this, I am sitting in the office of Dr. Ackerman Cancer Center while my mother is getting treated. I was thinking of Dr. Jeff, didn't see him here for awhile and just happened to check to see if their was an obituary. This is how I found out about the passing our recent dear friend, Dr. Jeff. Dr. Jeff always told us that he was in a win-win situation: If he beats the cancer, it is a win. If God takes him home, it is a win. His faith was strong, and he was not afraid. We will miss his kind, friendly, encouraging, and God-filled spirit. We grew to love you, Dr. Jeff. I am so blessed to have known you. God has a special place just for you. Rest In Peace. Love, Dorry Lopez-Sinclair and Doris Hartert

Jeff and I have known each other for almost 37 years. Words cannot begin to express the sorrow I feel at his passing. We were classmates in dental school and resident mates in the Endo program at MCV in Richmond. He was a good friend, a mentor and the older brother I never had. We spoke frequently these past 37 years. Visited some but not nearly enough. We talked about practice, family and just about life. We laughed and reminisced about our school days. When I was down I could always count on encouraging words from Jeff. I have taken his advice to heart many times. For I know it was always in my best interest and always right. Jeff, my friend, Honey and I shall miss you. Our thoughts and prayers are with him and his family and friends, especially his children and grandchildren, who miss him too.
