READFIELD - Jeffrey A Freeman, 53, of Readfield passed away on May 10, 2018.
He was born in Augusta, July 7, 1964. Jeff graduated from Maranacook High School and then went on to get his BA in Early Elementary Education at the University of Maine at Farmington, where he enjoyed putting on many drama performances. Jeff worked at a variety of jobs including milking cows, construction, mental health worker, staff development training and was currently employed at the Bureau of Motor Vehicles in Augusta teaching classes on a variety of work related enhancements. Jeff loved teaching and sharing stories and his jokes with all in each class.
Jeff was a town selectman for Readfield a short time as well as serving on the Town of Readfield Library board, and on the Readfield Recreation board for many years.
Jeff loved hunting, fishing, karaoke and coaching/cheering on his two boys thru their lives. He was so proud of the young men his sons had become and talked about them to all who he met.
He was predeceased by his dad Timothy Rourke; father Charles Poor; and grandmother Margaret Bubier.
He is survived by his wife Donna of 24 years; his sons Allen and Justin; his mother Sandra Rourke; his brother Graydon (Bubba) and his sisters Stephanie, Julie, Jodi, LuAnn, Heidi and Lisa; as well as many loved family members.
Relatives and friends may visit at Roberts Funeral Home, 62 Bowdoin Street, Winthrop, Tuesday 2-4 p.m.and 6-8 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church on Wednesday May 16, 2018 at 1 p.m.

Happy Heavenly Birthday to you!
We all wish you were here on Earth to celebrate it with all of your loved ones.
Please do me a favor and wish my son, Stacy, a Happy Birthday as well there in Heaven. He would have celebrated his 50th Birthday on May 9th. But, he left us early and way too soon just like you did.
I know your Mom misses you so much as she speaks to me about you and tells me often what a wonderful young man you were.
You were very loved and are now greatly missed by all your friends and family here.
Please look after your heartbroken Mom and send prayers down to her every day until the special time when the two of you will be together again in Heaven.

Good Morning Jeff,
It seems impossible to believe that it has been a year since you left us. I am sure it seems like an eternity to your Mom who misses you every day, along with many others.
I Have known your Mom since we were young girls and I also know the sadness of losing a son, as I lost my son, Stacy, in 2008. He was young like you (only 38) and left us way too soon as you did. You both left us with a terrible void in our hearts.
If you happen to bump into my son, Stacy, there in Heaven, please give him a big hug from me and tell him I will see him again one day. We think of you both every day.
By the way, Jeff, Happy Heavenly Birthday and be sure to continue to watch over your Mom.

Happy Birthday, Jeff. I spoke with your Mom today and she told me it was your Birthday today, and that she was missing you terribly. I hope you are celebrating in Heaven with those who got there before you that you loved and missed.
There is a little less sunshine here on earth without you but a lot more there in heaven because of your arrival. We all wish you had not left so soon, but we are sure God had a bigger and better plan for you.
and by the way, Jeff, if you happen upon my sweet son, Stacy, would you please let him know that his Mom sends a big hug and kiss to him. I miss him as much as your Mom misses you.

I am very sorry for your loss. Jeff was a classmate of mine at MCS and we graduated together in 1983. Jeff always had a smile on his face and was a wonderful person! I was in contact with him recently to see if would attend our 35th H.S. Reunion. Even though Jeff had politely declined, I will make sure he is remembered by our classmates.

Jeff taught my orientation classes at Riverview years ago. He was a great teacher, friend and coworker. Jeff was always able to remain positive in a work environment that was very stressful and often violent. He was very supportive of the people he trained and never negative towards anyone or any circumstance. Prayers and blessings to his family as you mourn this untimely loss.
