Jeffrey D. Freitas

"Distance disappears as time and space become meaningless." Jeffrey D. Freitas, 76, of Raymond died October 9, 2018 at the Elliot Hospital after a period of declining health. Born in New York on January 27, 1942, he was the son of Fernando and Elizabeth E. (Blake) Freitas. He was educated in both New York and New Hampshire. Prior to retirement, he had been employed many years as a real estate broker and had also worked at Coke-a-Cola Inc. Jeff enjoyed playing golf, was an avid reader and lifelong learner who enjoyed talking politics and outplaying family at Jeopardy. Survivors include Juanita Spinazzola; his daughters, Maria Gleason and husband Brian, Sara Freitas, Kate Sherwood and husband Dougan; his grandchildren, Emily, Libby, Ben, Henry, and Aggie; Juanita's children, Presten, Rory and his wife darcy; Juanita's grandchildren Malcolm, Aria, and Holden; brothers, Francis Freitas, Robert Freitas; Sister Maureen; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his daughter, Sandra J. Freitas and brother, David Freitas. Funeral services will be private and at the convenience of the family.
