Jeff was like one of my little brothers growing up.. I am the sister to Mark Wesen, who lost his life in 93"... I am so glad Jeff found Jesus before his passing. now we can rest assure he is in Heaven with his maker. (chances are Mark and him are doing a-round of golf together) who knows! I want to send my deepest regards to you about your father's death. I haven't met any of you yet, but I want you to know that your dad told me many stories about each of you. You guys were so precious to him. Your dad and I had become really close friends at Teen Challenge and were workout partners. He meant so much to me and I was and still am in shock about the whole situatuion. I just want you all to know that if there's anything I can do for you, please do not hesitate to call me. And I do mean anything. I was 13 years old when my dad died of cancer and it was a complete shock to me. So I can relate to how you feel. Your father was a great man who I know had given his life to Jesus because he and I prayed together many times before we would go to bed at Teen Challenge. So he is at peace in Heaven with God, which is ultimately where we all want to be one day. Please cherish the times you had with him and always remember that he wants you all to live your life to the fullest. There's no way to understand why these things happen, the only thing we know we can do is not to give up on life. You need to pursue your dreams with a passion that would bring honor and joy to your father. We are all one breath away from death and so I ask you to live your lives fullest and to make choices that will sustain your life. Please make choices that will will bring you joy and make your father smile up in Heaven!! God gave us all a free will; and He wants us to follow Him and make the right choices. But when we don't make the right choices, we take control of our life right out of God's hand. Please, I beg you to let Him be in control of your lives. I didn't mean for this to be so long, but I love and care about each one of you and always will. So if you ever need to talk about anything, especially your dad, please know that you have a shoulder to cry on and an ear to listen to.

You will always live in our hearts and prayers. I was Jeff's roomate at Teen Challenge and he was an inspiration to me. We got to be rather close and I know how much he loved his family. I'm so sorry that this had to happen. I can truly understand the loss, due to my wife's untimely passing. It's hard but trust me, life will go on. Live your life like he never left. God will sustain you and He won't let you down. Trust in Christ and you will find that the "footprints" poem has true meaning.

My brother just told me about Jeff. We were very good friends through our days at Pike Lake, Highview and Irondale. He was also one of my dads favorites even through all the mishaps that seemed to happen right in front of our house.... stories we still laugh about. My prayers go out to the family. I know he will be missed. Goodbye my friend.

I got a phone call today about Jeff's passing. We were really close in Jr High and remained friends through high school. My heart goes out to you children for your loss. I met you when you were all very young and I remember how proud your dad was of you. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.

Dear Jeff's Family & Friends,

Jeff worked with and for me. He was an awesome member of our team. I became very close to Jeff the past 4 months and will always have a special place in my heart for him. He loved to talk about God's word with me. The last verse I can remember us speaking about was Luke 15 v. 7 He touched Robin, Patrick and I. All of us are better because of it. I went to highscool with jeff, we recently got re-aquainted through church, and our sons both attending Irondale highschool. I am shocked at his passing. Although quite sad, we can rejoice at life lived, and know that our lives were certainly affected by jeff's. I will miss him.
