I noticed Jeff's name in the memoriam section of the latest issue of Utah State University magazine. I'm so sorry to hear of his passing. I loved getting to know Jeff better when we played on a softball team together. He was a fantastic shortstop, a great teammate, and a wonderful all-around guy. I remember him yelling, "SEE YA!" when his brother Lindsay would hit a home run.

My sincere condolences to his family.

Dear Kellie and Family: I was so sad to hear about Jeff. He was such an wonderful man. I remember many times growing up in the same ward with him, how he was always a great example and friend to everyone. He has been such a good friend to my parents, Boyd and Merlene Ivie. They have appreciated and loved him over the years. May you remember the wonderful memories and joyful times together as you celebrate his life. My prayers are with you and your family at this time.

As a visitor to Utah, my wife and I only met Jeff and Kellie briefly. But in that short time we learned how wonderful a man he was as a husband, father, grandfather and friend. In that chance meeting with them at Tony Grove Lake, we kept up with Jeff by long distance. We join Kellie and the beautiful family in grief and yet thanksgiving. I know he was a great person and in life's path, we seldom meet such people. This was a true blessing for my wife and me.

I worked with Jeff back in the day @ Schreibers. He was super funny and always made me laugh. I would see him occasionally when I sold my various media @ Summerfest. It was always good to visit with him at the time. We also made a video in Instructional Technology at USU together. It was pretty hilarious! I still have it and would be happy to copy it to a DVD if wanted!

Jeff and I were missionary companions in Chiayi, Taiwan. He was a wonderful companion and really taught me a lot about serving as a missionary. It was really my favorite time of my mission as he always had such a great attitude and optimistic outlook on everything. We also had good times later at Utah State University where I was able to be one of his groomsmen at his wonderful wedding. We ran into each other many years later when I was working in Dallas and he hadn't changed at all...still as enthusiastic as ever. He was a great man! My prayers will be with your family.

Kellie, I wanted you to know how much your husband helped me with my questions concerning the LDS Faith. I met Jeff through Icon, I was one of his talents. But through meeting him, my conversion to the LDS religion was strengthened. I will miss talking to him about religion. He was more then a boss, he was a good friend when I struggled in life. I have a huge respect for you, Kellie, and my prayers are with you.

It it has been many years since I have seen Jeff. Back in high school he was one of those rare people that was able to bridge the gap between the "cool kids" and some of us that we're geekier. It sounds as if he continued that ability to be the light in the room in the decades since then. My condolences to Kellie and the rest of his family and community Jeff served.

My thoughts and prayers are with Jeff's family, as well as the marketing team at icon. I worked with Jeff for a couple years, and am saddened to hear of his passing. I'm sure he is enjoying his new chapter in life and is in a good place, and looking down on his family with love and gratitude. My deepest sympathies to all who loved and knew him.

Kellie and Family,
I often saw Jeff at the mouth of Providence canyon with your big dog. He was always friendly, happy and eager to chat about the family- especially Jesse since he and Tim were friends. I'm pretty sure that's the last place I saw him and that's the image I will keep. Goodbye's are hard- May God Bless and keep you through this difficult time.
We love you, Jesse. Carry on.

Jeff was the personification of goodness, and his character reflected the core of his convictions. He truly lived a Christ-like life. Can anyone receive a better tribute than that?
