Marilynn M. Hensel

Marilynn May Wilson Hensel 89, of Indianapolis, passed away Sunday, August 22, 2010. Marilynn was born February 4, 1921 in Indianapolis to the late Wesley F. and Florence Wilson. She married William E. Hensel July 7, 1940. He preceded her in death in 2001, soon after celebrating their 61st anniversary. Before moving to Carmel in 1977, Marilynn was involved in several volunteer organizations, including Community Hospital East Auxiliary and the Sunnyside Guild. She was a member of Irvington United Methodist Church and currently Carmel United Methodist Church. Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, August 25 at Flanner and Buchanan Funeral Center-Carmel, where friends and family are invited to call from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Carolynn Kay Long in 2009. She is survived by her son-in-law, Ronald L. Long of Indianapolis; grandchildren, Robynn L. Steele of California, Christopher Long of Tennessee, Karynn K. Arnett of Indianapolis; great grandchildren, Ashleigh, Rachel and Michael Long, Nicholas Arnett and Samantha Steele.
