Jeffrey Kovacik Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Jul. 8, 2024.
Jeffrey Alan Kovacik, 59, fell asleep in death last Friday, July 5th, at the UPMC Hospital. Beside him was his dear surviving wife, Daynie Kovacik, who fought hard with him in his battle with cancer. Jeff was born in 1964 in McCandless, PA, to the late Edward David Kovacik, and surviving mother, Maureen Anita Burns. Jeff was survived by his two siblings, Jill Dickers and John Kovacik. Jeff was also survived by his only son, Zachary Kovacik, daughter-in-law, Chloe, and only granddaughter, Nova. Jeff and Daynie married in New Jersey last May 11, 2019, and lived in Altoona for the remaining years of his life. Jeff enjoyed years of loyal and faithful service to his Grand Creator, Jehovah God. The field ministry and his spiritual family have always been a source of joy and comfort to him and his wife, Daynie. He is now safe in Jehovah's memory, awaiting the resurrection promise found in Job 14:14,15 - "If a man dies, can he live again? I will wait all the days of my compulsory service Until my relief comes. You will call, and I will answer you."

The first time we met Jeff was at Eagle Rock Resort in Hazelton PA.

We brought Daynie there to have a date with Jeff; at that time, they were still dating.

We found Jeff to be a very wise and funny man-a man of few words, but he showed how much he cared for those he loved.

He will surely be missed.

I remember being very excited to have a new uncle when Tita Daynie and Tito Jeff got engaged. I´ve always grown close to Tita Daynie when I was a kid, so seeing her lose the closest person to her breaks my heart deeply. She was very strong for Tito Jeff when he was going through so much pain, and that´s something very commendable and something that I will always admire her for. While Tito Jeff can rest easy in Jehovah´s memory, we all look forward to seeing him again in the new system.

One of the hardest things in life is to lose someone most beloved, not only by my sister, Daynie, but by many. We will surely miss your vigor, enthusiasm for the truth, and energy to always beat all odds. Still, most significantly, we will miss witnessing your faithfulness and loyalty in your service to our dear God, Jehovah. We long for the time, after staying faithful as you are until the end, so we may meet you and welcome each other warmly in Jehovah's promise of a new system in paradise. You kept your oath to our Grand Creator, sealed in his loving memory. Sleep soundly, our dear beloved Jeff, as you await for the hour when you will rise again. Meanwhile, you will continually be remembered, loved, and sorely missed.
