Never forgot you!

It is with much sadness that today I learned of Jeff's passing. I have such fond memories of our teen years growing up as neighbors and hanging out together. As adults, I would run into Jeff now and then and we would carry on a conversation as though no time had passed. He was a true gentleman in every sense of the word. I am happy he found someone to share the last years of his life with. You were blessed to have him in your life. My sincere sympathy to his entire family. Rest in peace my dear friend.

You were blessed to have Jeff in your lives. I will always remember his laugh and his great sense of humor. I'm sorry for your loss.

We will miss Jeff. Our sympathy and prayers. I know he wanted to make the Xavier Reunion. Sharing old stories on the phone with him will be fond memories.

Condolences to the family. His classmates from Xavier wished he made our reunion. He was one of our greatest. We will miss him always.

My friend Jeff was fine man. A sportsman, avid deerhunter and fisherman. We had the best time fishing, wading in Sanabel-Captiva inlet for spotted sea trout a few years ago. What time we had. Then having our wives tell us sharks were cruising the beach. What times. I miss you buddy. Now you can rest.

Jeff was such a great guy. He always made us laugh and made moving into the neighborhood a warm welcome. Over the years he gave us a lot of laughs and fun times. We loved to listen to his stories. Everytime I come home with a 30 pack of beer , I still wait to hear his call from across the street, "Now that's a GOOD wife!".
My sincerest condolences to Carol, Jeff's family and all his many other friends who will miss this larger than life person.

Chris, my thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. It has been many years since I had you toil in the soil for a summer. I do not think I have seen you sence but I will always remember you as a good worker and a fine young man.
I did get to visit with your dad a few times over the years and he would catch me up on how you were doing.
A great man and the visits were always my pleasure.

There are so many memories that we have of Mr. Mefferd growing up. He was the best neighbor, friend, father figure anyone could ask for. He meant a lot to our family and me. He was always active whether it was mowing the lawn, cooking on the grill, playing volleyball, fishing, hunting, etc. He was a great story teller and he had a heart of gold. I'll never forget that laugh and he will be greatly missed.

Jeff was a great person as well as a great mentor for all of our children as well as for us. He was great friend to have. Always ready to help in any event.
He was part of our family. At sad times he was always able to make us smile. We will miss his sense of humor as much as we will all miss him.

So very sorry to hear about the passing of Sergeant Mefferd. Although I only worked a short time with him at MPD, he was always helpful and willing to help me in the early stages in my police career.

Jeff was a great person and he was like a second father to me. He was part of our family since birth and a great friend and family to our family Hans Veronica Hans Jr. Pete and Heidi Knapp (formerly Heidi Brings). He has been there for me through every important event in my life including proms jack and Jill High School and College graduation parties camping wedding birthdays the birth of my son and average days inbetween. My parents and I considered him family for 40 years. He will be greatly missed by us his 2nd family. The Brings Family
