Jeffrey Ouellette Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Sep. 24, 2025.
Jeffrey Allen Ouellette, 42, passed away on September 3rd in Olympia, Washington after a brief illness.

Born in Holyoke MA., his family settled in neighboring South Hadley in 1985. Jeff loved summer vacations at Hampton Beach, while devoting winters to the slopes of Blandford and Mt. Tom. A prolific skier, Jeff reached a pinnacle his senior year when qualifying for the New England Junior Regional Races.

Equally passionate about soccer and lacrosse, Jeff was instrumental in winning the 1998 WMass Lacrosse Championship game alongside his brother Ryan.

After high school Jeff moved west, majoring in Ski Area Management at Colorado Mountain College at Copper Mountain. He later returned home to complete a business degree at Westfield State College.

Jeff had a deep curiosity for many subjects; history, music, politics, and the environment are just a short list. Most at home in nature, he preferred outdoor exploration above all.

He will be remembered not only for his fierce intelligence, but quirky sense of humor and spirit of rebellion. He questioned everything and always fought for the underdog.

Jeff is survived by his father, David P. Ouellette and wife Jennella of MA. Brother Todd D. Ouellette and wife Karalee; nephews Liam Ryan and Cade Thomas of Dracut, and brother Jamie K. Ouellette of Holyoke. Jeff's daughter/doppelganger Olivia Rose was welcomed into the world on January 31st, 2019. He also leaves behind extended family and friends from all walks of life, including lifelong friends Gina and Jessica of Holyoke.

He is preceded in death by his mother Kathleen Ouellette (née Kennedy, 1991) and his brother Ryan (2007); maternal grandparents Harold P. Kennedy (1982) and Helen (née Mazurowski, 2008) of Holyoke; and paternal grandparents Philip J. Ouellette (2017) and Shirley (née Ledtke, 2021) of Ludlow.

It is difficult to measure the impact Jeff had on others throughout his 42 years. Sympathies to all those who both loved and were loved by him.

There will be a private ceremony for family at a later date.

Donations to Jeff's daughter Olivia can be made upon request. Please write [email protected] for details.
