There was so much I wanted to say before my father passed but I was happy we were able to spend some final moments together as those special bonding moments were priceless. It was an honor to take care of him, and I will always cherish being with him until the end.
As he took his last breaths, I reassured my father, he wasn't alone. I told him how much I truly loved him, as he was the best father (he could be), for me. Finally, I told my father, "I'll take care of mom, and we will be just fine so now is the time dad, to let go of this life and go be with Jesus Christ as he waiting for you with open arms, inviting you into the Kingdom of Heaven." And after some deep breaths, he was gone.
His absence saddens me today, knowing that he will not return to this life but I'm truly happy, knowing he is no longer suffering and is up in heaven, in complete bliss with God's pure love.
"I'll always love you dad and you will remain in my heart! I'll see you up there some day! Don't forget to give Jesus a big hug from me and tell Him how much I love Him!"
Love, your grateful and honored son.
"PS - Dad, you left me with all the of mom's project's in the yard and the kitchen sink is still leaking!" =)

Jeff, side kick since 7th grade and sharer of many adventures and misadventures, left to explore the undiscoverd country. We were similar in so many ways. We split up after a stint a college as we succumbed to the pressures of distance and the complications of our own lives, but still, we had some laughs and shared complaints via the internet. He was a proud man who loved his family. It's correct that he was math wizard! He loved Trig and took my math tests for me at college.( He made me pay-off by taking his biology tests.) I recall the night he left UNI. AH! Sure, and that were an evenin' ta remember!!! However that memory will remain between us.
See you later, cuz.

Jeff was my "cool" uncle. The one who would let you take a sip off his beer when your Dad or Mom wasn't looking. I will wear some white socks with my sandals and lift a pint to his memory.
