Jeffrey RUHL Obituary
It is with profound sadness that the family of Jeff Ruhl of Westlock, formerly of Barrhead, announces his sudden death on December 27, 2013 at the age of 56 years.
He leaves to cherish his memories his loving wife Margaret Jonk Ruhl; his two devoted sons Shawn (Dominique) of Edmonton and Scott of Westlock; brother Gary (Janice) and son Murray and daughter Lauren (Jeff), brother Wilfred (Phyllis) and son Neil (Natalie) all of Edmonton, sister Colleen (Michael) Mooking and children Jackson and India of Sherwood Park. He will also be deeply missed by Margaret's family: mother Minnie Jonk, brothers and sisters Nick (Renee), Marian (Arlen), Henry (Cheryl), Peter (Susan), Dennis, Irene (Charles), Yvonne (Todd), Mina and Leroy, as well as many nieces and nephews that will miss Uncle Jeff.
Jeff was predeceased by his parents, Raymond and Lily, father-in-law Henry Jonk, niece Leah Jonk, as well as numerous uncles, aunts, and cousins.
Jeff was an amazing husband, father, brother, uncle and friend. He worked hard at his chosen occupation of a meat cutter at the Co-op in Westlock and Barrhead for over 30 years. He loved spending time with his family and friends, fishing, hunting, travelling, camping, having a drink and a good laugh. Jeff was a man with many talents including farming, cooking, butchering, making wild game sausage and telling stories. He could always be counted on to lend a helping hand , whether it be building a garage, cutting the turkey at Christmas, or taking off the crop. When the work was done, he enjoyed nothing more than sitting in his favorite chair.
A Funeral Service will be held Saturday, January 4, 2013 at 10:30 a.m. at the St. John's Luthern Church in Barrhead with Pastor Kevin Rees officiating.
