Jeffrey Scott Sims-Wright

Jeffrey S. Sims-Wright, 58, of Auburn, WA passed away on Friday, December 2, 2022 after a short illness.

Jeff was born in Potsdam, NY to Edwin and Arlene Wright. After Jeff graduated from Saranac Central School in 1983, he went on to join the Army Reserves and later enlisted in the Army. He then relocated to the State of Washington with his former wife Victoria and their children Crystal and Clifford. Jeff continued to pursued his desire for helping others by becoming a medic and later after he left the service in 1990, he studied Nursing at the University of Washington.

After graduating with a Bachelor's Degree in Nursing and his Master's Degree in Business Administration, he worked in several nursing roles and finally accepted a position with The Polyclinic in Seattle, WA as the Director of Care Management where he recognized his passion for Case Management. In 2021, Jeff accepted the position of Director of Patient Transitions with Kaiser Permanente in Renton, WA.

Jeff will always be remembered for his kind giving heart and infectious laughter. In his personal time, Jeff enjoyed working and creating things with his hands. He loved woodworking and recently started a hobby of winemaking. He enjoyed spending free time with his dogs, as well as, traveling and experiencing new and different cultures.

In 2013, Jeff met the love of his life and later in December 2016, married his Husband, Randy in Auburn, WA. Jeff and Randy went on to have 6 years full of Friendship, Love, Joy and Happiness.

Jeff was predeceased by his father Reverend Edwin Wright. Jeff is survived by his Husband, Randy Sims-Wright; Children, Crystal (Bird Nash) Marshall; Clifford Bird; Grandchildren, Ariana Nash, Logan Nash, Kaydence Marshall and Matthew Marshall; Mother, Arlene Wright; Brothers and Sister-in-laws, Ed and Tina Wright, Dan and Sandy Wright, Jim and Hyon Wright and Than and Teri Wright; Sister, Faith Welty.

Celebration of Life Services will be held on Sunday, January 15, 2022 from 2:00pm - 5:00pm at Washington State Historical Society, 1911 Pacific Avenue, Tacoma, Washington.
