Jeffrey Stack Obituary
47, of Clayton, passed away on September 19, 2015. Born October 8, 1967 in Indianapolis, he was the son of Jerry and Pat Rushton Stack. Jeff graduated from Purdue University and owned Korner Liquor in Clayton. He previously worked as a Quality Engineer at Firestone for 13 years.
He had a huge heart and a happy personality. He loved hunting, sailing, fishing, nature, especially sunrises and sunsets, and sports. He enjoyed Purdue sports, fantasy sports, coaching sports and Jeff Gordon racing. Jeff loved to eat, cook and grill. Jeff was a Christian and one to never meet a stranger. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.
Survivors include his parents; son, Austin Stack; daughter, Sierra Stack; brothers, Rob and David Stack; sister, Shannon Stack Ratliff; grandpa, Ralph E. Stack; 2 nieces; and 4 nephews.
Services will be at 11 a.m. on Thursday, September 24, 2015 in Hall-Baker Funeral Home with burial to follow in the Clayton Cemetery. Calling will be from 4 - 8 p.m. on Wednesday, September 23, 2015 in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Austin and Sierra Stack College Fund c/o Hall-Baker Funeral Home 339 E Main St Plainfield, IN 46168. I will miss his easy smile, warm hugs, and the way he always made me feel like he had been waiting all day to talk to me, even though I'm sure he made everyone feel that way. He had such a big heart and a kind soul and I'm honored to have called him friend. I am comforted by the fact that he knew Jesus as his savior and I know he's smiling down on all of us today. Jeff Stack, you were a great guy. I thoroughly enjoyed the times we hung out and how you made us all roar with laughter. Funny, witty and kind, I saw the special in you the very first moment we met. I'll never forget our conversation about kid's show, The Big Comfy Couch and how I laughed myself right out of breath. Nor, will I forget your kindness the last time we hung out, just a few weeks ago. Thank you for some really great memories. I'm very sad that I'll never have the chance to run into you again. I pray for peace for your family. XO
