Jeffrey T. Thorndyke, 38, of Colona, Ill., died Sunday, Dec. 10, 2006, at Illini Hospital, Silvis, Ill.
Services will be 10:30 a.m. today at Wildwood Baptist Church, East Moline. Burial will be in Preemption Cemetery.
Jeffrey was born Aug. 8, 1968, in Rock Island, to Herb "Bud" Jr. and Janene Bradley Thorndyke. He graduated from Northern Illinois University with an engineering degree. He married Darlene Davis on June 1, 1991, in East Moline.
He was an engineer at John Deere World Tech Center for the past six years. He served 16 years in the National Guard and attended Wildwood Baptist Church. He loved 4-wheeling and was a Denver Bronco fan.
Survivors include his wife, Darlene, and daughter Rachel, of Colona; parents, Herb "Bud" and Janene Thorndyke, of Colona; brother, Gregory (Tana) Thorndyke, of Bloomington, Ill.; sisters, Kristy (Kenny) Dodge, of Wunderlake, Ill., and Jodi Thorndyke, of Colona; nieces, Kayli and Alyna Thorndyke, of Bloomington; maternal grandmother, Della Stover, of Pontiac, Ill.; and paternal grandmother, Mary Lou Thorndyke, of Moline. He was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Herb Thorndyke and Ray Orwig.
