Jeff we are all going to miss you very much. We are just thankful that you got to see both of your Grandaughters before you left us. We will be there for mom when she needs us.

Grandpa I am going to miss you so much. We played together and had lots of fun. We would ride the four wheelers for hours and scare mommy and grandma to death. I will always remember you, Mommy Grandma Daddy and Aunt Amanda will make sure. I will ride the four wheeler still I promise and everytime I do I will be thinking of you.I still look for you when I go see grandma but then I see your bear and the bear says 'ROAR'. haha. Remember when you scared me last summer and I wouldn't go near him. I love to pet him now. Thank you for being such a good Grandpa. I love you and miss you so much. BTW I am going fishing this summer with my own reel! Make sure you help me out fish Daddy! I love you so much Grandpa.

I myself have read each and every one of these entries and have had a hard time writing this . As one of the newest members of the family...I feel like an outsider looking in. Jeff, we didn't get to know each other very well...but we knew we were family. Visiting you at the house, I could see the love you had for Ruth and the children and your passion for the great outdoors. I immediately knew that you were a wonderful man and know you are in heaven, at peace, taking those grandchildren fishing and hunting

Jeff, thank you for being the love of Ruth's life...for giving me a chance to meet your wonderful family(although I wish it was under better circumstances) I can see how much the Vanderpools and the Higley's love you. Know that we are all here for Ruth, all the children and grandchildren.

As I'm reading messages from all of ruthie and jeff's friends and family I can tell they are both loved alot.It warms my heart knowing my friend Ruthie will be alright thru this difficult time with everyone supporting her.I'm sure that makes Jeff very happy also.My sincere thoughts and prayers to the Vanderpool family.I'm very proud of Ruthie for being strong and doing the best she could taken care of Jeff thru his battle.Ruthie told me tonite she wants to get her fishing license soon to get on the river.I hope Jeff sets her hook with a BIG one!!!Love you Ruthie, your friend Dawn

I love you so much. Words can never express the love I have for you. You were the only thing that kept me together when things got rough. You were there when I needed to cry, scream or laugh. You aren't just my husband you are my best friend, my lover, my confindone, my sould mate. The past 16 years were the best years of my life and I will never regret a moment.
Don't worry about the kids and I. We will be alright, and counting the moments until we all meet again. We will never forget you. We will tell the grandchildren often about you and how much you loved them.
