Jeff was a significant influence, a father figure and a wonderful role model for me, as a youth in his care home.
He stood by us through thick and thin, and has provided me with great tools, and demonstrated the level of patience required to serve in the industry. I am saddened to hear of his passing, as I hoped we would be able to reconnect. His life mission was admirable and selfless. A truly great man.

Jeff was a wonderful and caring person. He moulded many people in his life from kids in need of care and workers he gave inspiration and guidance to. We remember him fondly and are saddened by the loss of such a great influence to our community.

My deepest condolences to Jeff and his family. Jeff gave me my first job at CAS as a Child and Youth Counsellor. While I worked for him a short time, the lessons I learned from him helped carry me forward in my career. He was a living example of what it means to be an advocate. His dedication and perserverance while working with troubled youth was legendary and will undoubedly ensure that his memory will live on with those whose live he touched.

Jeff was my second cousin and one of the kindest most thoughful people I will ever meet. He had a gift with young people and helped many kids get something more out of life than would have been possible without his help. He also had a such a dry, wicked sense of humour which is one thing I will never forget about Jeff! One of lives really good people who will be missed. My and my famillies thoughts and love are with the rest of Jeffs family at this time.

I will remember Jeff for his sense of humour, his hearty laugh and warm smile. He will be remembered by his family and friends, and especially by the young people and their families that he has helped. I had the pleasure of working with Jeff at CAS and having some contact when he had the group homes. I work in the Finance Office at CAS and Jeff always made you feel that it didn't matter if you were a front line worker or a support staff, he treated you with respect. You his family do not need to be told what a special man he was, he will be missed.

Jeff was a wonderful guy who spent his whole life working with troubled adolescents. I never saw Jeff give up on a child and no matter what he was always smiling, always willing to give another chance. He is far to young and still had so very much to offer us all to be taken so soon. He will be missed by all who knew him, the countless friends, workers, team mates, families and children that he helped through out the years.
My thoughts are with Jeffs family at this very difficult time. Try to hold on to all the good that was Jeff and may your happy memories of him help to ease your pain.

My condolences to Jeff and his Family. I came to know Jeff in his work with Children's Aid and later he worked for me as a Regional Supervisor when we made our journey into providing Group and Treatment Foster care in the Ottawa area. Jeff worked tirelesly to advance the treatment for youth in the region. He was always in the lead providing recommendations on outcomes based programming and best practice tools raising the bar in services to children. Regardless of his own physical health he always had a smile and a quip and time to listen. Jeff hoped to spend more time bonefishing and less time working. I will miss him on many fronts.

It is with great sadness to learn about Jeff's passing. We have know Jeff for over 20 years, as he being a close friend and a GodFather to our Grandson Jamie Bennett. Son of Sherry and Bob Bennett. Sherry and Bob both work for and with Jeff for many years. It makes me remember he being a diabetic always waiting for my baking at Christmas. He shall be missed. Our thoughts and prayers are with you Mrs.Ward, his brother Ian and his sister Janet. He spent many, many hours at Sherry and Bob's. God Bless
