This man is an icon. Very humble and stayed out of the limelight in the great funk band The Time. I met Jellybean a few times and one time he signed his sticks for my son who was 9 at the time. I am glad I told him that he and his band helped to get me through college when I was down. He had a million dollar smile.

Jelly Jelly! You are and always will be the man! You helped me find my heart when I was lost.

Rest in peace good sir. I never met you in person. I wish I did. You were one of those guys I wanted to meet. My friends that did meet spoke so highly of you. My favorite memory is learning The Black Cat riff and playing that on my friends new amplifier. It sounded so good. Thank you for your gifts. Rest in peace sir. I will pray for your family, friends, and bandmates.
