Barry L. Fritz

Barry L. Fritz, 67, of Danielsville, passed away peacefully at home on Thursday, June 01, 2017, surrounded by his loving family. He was the husband of Ruth E. (Smith) Fritz. They observed their 49th wedding anniversary on May 11th of this year. Born in Allentown, on March 31, 1950, he was a son of the late Lester G. Fritz and Betty I. (Snyder) Dieter, and stepson of the late Freddie Dieter, who was instrumental in raising Barry. He attended Northampton High School. Barry was employed by the former S & L Pastics Co. in Upper Nazareth Township, now Airlite Plastics Co., where he worked for 10 years before retiring in 2013. Prior to that, he held various jobs. A life member of Blue Mountain Fish & Game Association, Barry loved hunting and fishing. He was also a car enthusiast, and he enjoyed pro wrestling and NASCAR. Survivors: In addition to his loving wife, Ruth, he is survived by a daughter, Peggy S. Washburn and her husband, David of Palmerton; a son, Lester N. Fritz and his wife, Donna of Lehighton; five grandchildren, David Jr., Brent, Nathan, Haley and Taylor; a great-grandson, Jaycob; a brother, Charles Fritz and his wife, Susie of Walnutport; a sister, Barbara Barthold and her husband, Tom of Northampton; nieces and nephews. Services: will be held on Wednesday, June 07, 2017, at 11:00 A.M. in the GEORGE G. BENSING FUNERAL HOME, Inc., 2165 Community Drive, Route 946, Village of Moorestown - Bath, PA 18014. Friends and relatives are invited to call on Wednesday morning from 10:00 A.M. to 11:00 A.M. in the funeral home. Interment will be private.
