Jennifer Page Cook of San Marcos, Texas, entered into the presence of her Lord and Savior the evening of April 1, 2023, at the age of 49.
Jennifer was born in Houston, Texas, to Robert (Bob) & Peggy Wommack on July 26, 1973. She attended Coronado High School in Lubbock, Texas, and went on to get her degree in Education from Baylor University. She was in Kappa Delta Sorority and was involved in Sing during her years attending Baylor. She taught school in the Austin area for many years in both primary and secondary schools districts.
She was a dedicated mother to both Madison and Christian, and was passionate about all they were involved in. You could catch her being president of the PTO, leading at Vacation Bible School, attending Madison’s dance recitals and Christian’s Choir performances, or taking her children to see the latest movie. They were an extremely important part of her life.
Those that knew Jennifer knew she was always such a giving person and would help anyone in time of need. She was kind, energetic, and always generous with her time for others.
Jennifer is preceded in death by her mother, Peggy Wommack; her grandmother, Jewel Hardin; her grandmother, Betty Wommack; and her aunt, Deborah Cooney.
Jennifer is survived by her children, Madison Paige Cook and Christian Scott Cook; father & step-mother, Bob & Linda Wommack; sister, Shawn Taylor & husband, Howard; nieces, Jordan Gregory & husband, David; Cameron Beucler & husband, Evan; Devan Taylor and great-nephew, Carson. Step-brothers, Kregg & Kory Lunsford; step-sister, Kamron Jarrett. Along with many other aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Jennifer’s foundation with her faith was strong. She had a heart for God and people and that was demonstrated in how she lived life. She will be missed by many, but she knew the promises of tomorrow and that we will see each other again in heaven.
Jennifer will be laid to rest in Taylor, Texas on Wednesday, April 5, 2023, with Harold Cook (Madison and Christian’s grandfather) officiating.

I just found out today that this wonderful soul went to be with the Lord! As a parent not one of her 4th grade students, she was an amazing teacher. Always looking out for my son!! My heart hurts for her family!

Jennifer was a "mama bear" mother, just like me. Loved her children and cared for them and always did everything she could for them. She was a generous person, volunteer, and teacher. She will be missed very much. We enjoyed singing together at Pioneer Farms and volunteering with the PTA. I cannot believe she is gone, and so young. She was fun and funny, and I'm so sorry she is gone. I hope her children know how much she loved them. RIP, Jennifer.

I met Jennifer when my son, Colton, was in her 3rd grade class. That was the best year ever! She was such a wonderful teacher! So positive and energetic and committed to the success of the kids in her class. I used to see her quite often and we would always share a laugh about something. I know she loved her children dearly and was so proud of them. She was a beautiful soul and I am so sad she has passed away from this earth. My prayers of comfort are with her children and family.

I had the honor of knowing Jennifer as a parent of one of my second graders, Madison Cook. I remember that year very well because Jennifer was always volunteering to help in my classroom. No matter what I needed, she was there. Jennifer had a kind and giving heart. She always had a smile on her face. She loved both of her children dearly. Madison and Christian, you were blessed to have such a kind and loving mother. I pray that you will cherish the precious memories of your mother in your hearts forever.

Jennifer was a positive influence on many lives. She was a bundle of energy and almost always smiling. I am so sad to hear of her passing, but no doubt, as she lived her life, she knew that God would be with her in all things and she shared her love for God with others. A bright light has gone out of this world but is shining in heaven. Madison and Christian, your mother was so proud of all your successes and I know she will smile down as you both continue to pursue your passions and make a difference in the world. May she rest in peace.

I just found out this morning, dear friend, or I would have come down for your service. I am so grateful you came into my life and introduced me to Jason 30+ years ago. You have always been in my heart a life friend, and you will be dearly missed. Sending prayers to the whole family, but especially to Madison and Christian. Your Mom dearly loved you both. There are just no words to express how deeply saddened I am by this news. Love and hugs to everyone.

Mrs. Cook was my 3rd grade teacher and was, without a doubt, the best and sweetest teacher I’ve ever had. We ran into each other numerous times over the years and every encounter brought me joy. I’m so sad to hear of her passing, so thankful to have known her and, most of all, thankful that she knew and believed in the Lord. My prayers are with her children and family.

My daughter had Mrs. Cook in third grade at Forest Creek Elementary - she was always a happy, enthusiastic teacher. My daughter is a successful business woman, married and expecting her first child. I’m grateful to the many teachers she had along the way to mold her into who she is - Mrs. Cook was one of those positive influences. Prayers for the family at this difficult time.
