Jennifer and I would always end up chatting when we saw each other even if we had other things we should probably do instead. I remember one of the last times we saw each other we were talking about our shared love of tattoos as per usual. She told me that her next tattoo she´s getting is one that she´s been wanting to get for a long time. Next time I saw her she had it and showed it off. I´m gonna miss seeing her in the office. Wasting time with her was never a waste.

I first met this amazing woman when she took my graduate women´s health class...from the get-go, she stood out for her smarts, and her thirst for knowledge, and I quickly realized how delightful her humour and joy were. She quickly and easily became a stalwart member of the women´s studies community. We became partners: in pursuing her masters degree, and in shepherding the sexuality class. Love of our furry feline friends further cemented our bonds.
I had the honour of officiating at Jen and Lee´s wedding and to witness their happiness was bliss.
I was graced to witness Jen´s blossoming through the years, and she will be in my heart forever.

My first memory of finally meeting my youngest cousin was when she was 6 1/2 years old and had come from Chicago with her momma, my Aunt Nancy, and our Grandma Ann for my wedding in Daytona Beach in 1981. An adorable, twinkly-eyed, beautiful blonde cherub who delighted everyone! I have a photo of her dancing with my husband Rob, her feet far from the ground , twirling and laughing in his arms. That photo is packed up but once found, will be shared. When Cousin Jennifer came to Florida to school, she came to my house for the holidays that she was not going home to Chicago for and happily became part of my children´s family! Her fun and funny antics made her anticipated visits and holiday gatherings more special to me and my kids and we LOVED having her so close! As her life and career progressed and her mom and sister moved to Florida, we saw each other les frequently but stayed connected on messaging and socials. Her unique and very well spoken thoughts and perspectives about the world, society, life as well as her humor, made me love her and respect her greatly. I´m saddened that we will not have more times to connect on this earth but I look forward to continuing our love and finishing those conversations we did not get a chance to do, when I see her in Heaven.
