I was shocked and saddened to hear we had lost Jen. I hadn't communicated with her in a couple of years. Jen and I used to work together at Crown Books in the 1990s. She was such a smart and funny person. I knew her before and during her first marriage. I attended her wedding to Tom, and I cherished my friendships with them both. We would have such fun times at their house, playing Yahtzee, talking and listening to music. I worked with her when I began dating my now-husband, and she rolled her eyes at my goofy infatuation. But then, she was there at our wedding a few years later. When Jen moved to LA, I still had a connection to her through her mom, Rosemary. I kept abreast of her life that way over the years. Jen was so multifaceted and talented, from writing romance novels to creating needlework patterns to baking and sharing her recipes. I admired her career in library services, a dream I never followed through with for myself. I saw Jen in person last at Rosemary's birthday celebration several years ago. She was sparkling and loving and warm, even though we hadn't seen each other in a long time. I will miss her. She impacted my life and I loved her.

So sorry for your loss of such a bright spirit. Jennifer's laughter was contagious, it was a joy to work with her in Collection Development at LHQ. May the dragonflies she loved support her on her way.
