Jenny was my neighbor in New Bern in the 1950s and early 60s. She became my lifelong friend, like a sister, and our children were close as cousins. Jenny and I talked on the phone frequently. I am so glad that I was able to go and visit with her last year. That was a wonderful day.
I will always cherish many, many memories of Jenny.
While this is a sad time for us all, and I know it is especially for her children and whole family, we can rest easy in knowing she is in Heaven with her beloved William. She had a long and prosperous life and raised five wonderful children who will carry on her faith and fellowship.

Gloria and Ann,
With deepest symphony about your Mom. I know she was a Special Mom because she had two Special Daughters. I saw you both at the hospital and I know how hard it is to lose a Mom. Ann, I hope I gave you some comfort when I hugged your neck. God be with your family. Judy T. Holton

Along with memories of my own parents & family, some of my very first are also of the beautiful bright eyes of Jenny Hale, her sweet voice, fun times playing with her girls & my sisters, eating in her kitchen and our mothers chatting and laughing. Mama kept me up to date on news from New Bern, as she'd talk with Jenny on the phone.
Jenny Hale was precious and good, a wonderful mother & friend, a wise woman, a true gift to her community and this world. May she rest in blissful peace.

I always take comfort in this saying. "Perhaps they are not stars in the sky, but rather openings where our loved ones shine down to let us know they are happy." You are in my thoughts and prayers.

It is with deep sadness to have to lose Aunt Jenny. The memories we SC cousins have to cherish were filled with fun times feeling welcomed and accepted as part of the Hale family in our visits to New Bern. I remember Aunt Jenny cooking wonderful meals for us and can see her stirring the peanut butter fudge which was a hit. So much love shared and enjoyed in that home with this special family!

May the love of God surround each of you during your time of loss and sorrow. Jenny was definitely an angel on earth. I am a member of Vida Grantham Chapter Order of Eastern Star. When I served as Worthy Matron your father, William Hale, served with me as Worthy Patron. Both your mother and father were wonderful caring people. You were blessed to have them as your parents. You are in my thoughts and prayers. God bless you.
