Jens Frydenlund

So sad to hear about Jens passing. I wish I could find the words to say how sad I was to hear about it from Roy and Tom this morning. It brought back many memories, all good.

I miss you sooo much Pappa. You were warm and sweet and adoring. The best father any girl could ever wish for. Till we meet again....
Down the way where the nights are gay and the sun shines daily on the mountain top...I took a trip on a sailing ship...

I will always treasure my memories of Jens and the good times that we shared! In particular, the summer of 1989 that I spent working on the Alpaca No. 1 with Jens, Alec Vogrig and Jim Riley, a real "Dream Team" of a crew, is, bar none, one of my fondest memories! For me, a wet-behind-the-ears kid of 24, it was a thrill to work with such an seasoned bunch of guys. A little intimidating too! But Jens and the other guys made me feel so welcome on the boat, I didn't want to leave to go back to law school in the fall! Jens was a very special man, and I learned an awful lot from him! I feel very fortunate to have had the priviledge of counting him as one of my friends! My sincere condolences to Margaret and all of the family on Jens' passing! Old friend, you will be missed!
