I was an orderly at the University of Minnesota Hospital rehab unit when Jerry was a patient there. He was without question the favorite patient of the staff on 7th floor! Despite his sever injuries, he was always upbeat and witty. He once told me he had no regrets regarding the skydiving accident--in fact if he regained use of his body, the very first thing he would do is go skydiving! What an inspiring spirit!

Think of Jeremiah as having the joy to sky dive again, only this time he is going... up!

I knew Jeremy as a fellow skydiver before his accident-& always felt he was a very special person.

I was an occupational therapist at the University rehab unit when Jerry had just had his skydiving accident. He may have been one of my first patients there. He taught me so much and was an inspiration to me.

Jeremiah
You were the first one to show me that my disability did not define me. That knowledge has taken From California and back, and that love for everybody was possible, Jeannie set such an example for me and many others. Our lives are so much richer because you and Jeannie were in it.

Jeremiah was an adventurer when I knew him at De La Salle and as a fellow U of M Skydiver, and he continued to be an adventurer & carved a path for others with his insight and focus.

Jeremiah's wisdom made him an inspiration;but it was his droll wit that made him so much fun. We loved working with him at the U of M Program in Human Sexuality where he so generously shared both. Lucky Jeannie- you were so cherished. We are holding you and the McShane family in our hearts.Jimmie Hanson & Michele Copperud

I knew Jerry at DeLaSalle on the wrestling team...he was a pleasure to know and associate with in the practice room and school. Proud to have known him.

Jeremiah was a great person inspiring many to carry on even with a disabling condition. We were fortunate to know him and have the opportunity to work with him. Our prayers and thoughts are with Jeannie and his family.
