Our memories of Jerry include both of you opening your home to young Adults for a Bible study and then Jerry getting Tom his entry level job into his actual field! We loved coming to your home on Ecton and then our kids even got to come over a few time when they were young before you moved South. Grateful that our Father gathered Jerry up and took him home as he slept!

So many great memories with all of you thru the years as we attended Goss together. Jerry always had a smile on his face. Thankful for all the fun times, his faith, his love for his family and friends. Keeping all of you in prayers and praying you have comfort knowing Jerry is pain free and with his Lord. Love you, Art and Carol Hurd

There are so many memories to share, but Uncle please know you always offered such a loving and welcoming household to come to! From Your gentle presence to your wild family banjo/clarinet/drums/singing/violin playing ohhh & let´s not forget "singing" ~ were amongst some of fondest memories. Growing up I cherished the example of family you provided for my sisters & I.
I can clearly hear you calling "hey Nan" several times knowing that Aunt Nancy was ignoring your call. It never ruffled your feathers, (well maybe sometimes).
I am especially grateful for your faith and trust in our Lord & Savior Jesus Christ. It was a foundation that through my teenage years allowed me to stay grounded & in my adulthood helped me understand & navigate as I challenged my beliefs through difficult times. This has also helped me while raising my children in faith & that trusting that the ultimate answer to their beliefs or understandings of course is unconditional love. You were always the example of this.
To my Aunt Nancy ~God bless you! You are one of the strongest women I know. All of the above goes for you too, but you´re louder & funnier than Uncle. Thank you for loving your husband so much and for also being an example of Agape love. May you rest in the knowledge Uncle Jerry is at peace. Holding your heart . I love you!
To my cousins Elizabeth, Danielle & my very 1st best friend Becky, may you laugh in the memories and cry in your sorrow for I know you will miss your daddy. Please don´t be sad, because you know with all of your hearts he will be protecting & loving you in ways you might not understand yet. We are all celebrating his life with you & all of the wonderful memories we shared together.
To the grandkids & great grandkids what a privilege to carry on the legacy of family love. Each of you are so special in his eyes and may you remember that always.
Sending love, prayers, & peace as you celebrate the life of this precious soul and Family in Faith.
We love you so much & can´t wait to gather together again with all of you. Xo, ~Jessica, Greg, Rece, Reagan, Reid & Josie Nelson

Jerry was a great listener and always asked me about my work, courses I was taking, and how my family was doing. No matter the topic, he was an active listener. He loved flying and after he sold his plane, he continued with a computer simulation where he could get lost for hours. We had some great talks over the years. Rest in peace.
