Our nation has once again lost one of its outstanding veterans. Jerome will be greatly missed by his 17th Airborne friends. We are in deep sadness and our condolences go out to Mary Ellen, his family and friends. May the Good Lord's brightest angels receive Jerome and may he rest in etenral peace.

My brother John and I delivered the Pittsburgh Press to Jerry each day. We would talk and he encouraged me to become a teacher. I lasted 12 years as a teacher. He was a friendly fellow who made several paper boys look forward to talking to him. God bless.
