BROWN, Jerome "Dip," 72, of Richmond, departed this life June 11, 2011. He was preceded in death by his parents, Mary Brown and Frank Hall Sr. He leaves to cherish his memory a loving and devoted wife, Ruby Brown; two daughters, Felipe Fowler (Russell) and Vonda Brown; two sons, Franklin Jones and Jerome Brown Jr.; four stepchildren, Brenda Ferrell (Robert), Lisa Muhamed (Owen), Cynthia Paige and James Ross Jr. (Grace); four sisters, Thelma and Carolyn Crawley, Charlene Wright (Arthur) and Fay Nicholson; four brothers, devoted Alvin Hall (Francine), Melvin Sr. (Lauretta), Douglas (Ethel) and Randy Crawley; and a host of other relatives and friends. Remains rest at March Funeral Home, 2110 E. Laburnum Ave., where viewing will be held on Wednesday, June 15 from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Funeral service 11 a.m. Thursday, June 16, 2011 in the March Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Jackson Hall officiating. Interment Virginia Veteran's Cemetery at Amelia.

Hi Ruby, sorry that I couldn't make it to the funeral, but my prayers are with you. I can relate to what you are possibly going though, due to my husband's death Wilson (Poggie) Coleman in October 2010. Please call me if you would like to talk.

Rubby, our prayers are with you as you and the family go through this trying time. You and Dip were our neighbors at our first home on Ridgemont Rd., we worked together at Carolina Frt. although I worked for Roadway. We all loved Dip and will cherish his memory.
