Jerome G. Buhl

Jerome G. "Jerry" Buhl, age 74, of New Holstein, died on Thur. Oct 5, 2006 at his home. He was born on March 12, 1932 in the Town of Charlestown, son of the late Frederick & Elizabeth (Woelfel) Buhl. Jerry served in The U.S. Army overseas, worked for Wagner Construction, and farmed in the town of Charlestown until his retirement. He was a member of Good Shepherd Catholic Church in Chilton. He was an excellent woodworker and he enjoyed hunting and watching wildlife. Survivors include 3 sisters, Sylvia Dreikosen of Sheboygan, Delphine Lourich of Prospect Heights, IL, Verne (Leroy) Thiel of Appleton; 2 brothers Alvin (Alice) Buhl of Chilton, and Rev. Wilbert Buhl of Maplewood, WI. He is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was also preceded in death by 2 brothers-in-law, Chuck Lourich and Syl Dreikosen. Funeral services will be at 11:30 AM on Mon. Oct. 9, 2006 at Good Shepherd Catholic Church (54 E. Main St.) in Chilton, with the Rev. Wilbert Buhl officiating. Burial will follow in St. Martin Cemetery in the Town of Charlestown. Friends may call at the church on Mon from 9:00 AM until the time of services. Wieting Family Funeral Home in Chilton is assisting the family.
