We meet in Italy during the 90's. Doctor Cobol was and still is an example to me. A very special person i will never forget.

I met Jerry because of COBOL. We served on a ANSI standards committee together in the 80s. At the end of a business trip in the NE, Jerry invited me to go up to Litchfield with him for a weekend. We had one of the most amusing, appalling and memorable experiences of my life. I was thinking about that on a road trip this weekend and decided to look for him. I hope his passing was easy.

Had some great motorcycle adventures with Jerry. The best was a breakfast in Litchfield Connecticut after we 'prepared' for breakfast. Went to the diner- about 15 minutes in Jerry pulled the waitress aside and said 'can you change that from wheat toast to rye'. Waitress says 'You haven't ordered yet'. Doh

We lost one of our lifelong friends, last Saturday. It's like losing a brother. There can be no replacements. Keeping the unbreakable bonds of friendship alive, among us that go on, and keeping those cherished memories in our thoughts and on our lips will, hopefully, help us cope. Rest in Peace, our Dear Friend. Someday we will meet again and - SIT ON THE CURB, ON SUMMER DAYS, WHILE DECIDING ON WHAT WE SHOULD DO TOMORROW,

It started before we were thirteen ...
