Jerome "Jerry" Eugene DeLucia

Pikesville - Jerome Eugene "Jerry" DeLucia, 84, of Pikesville, MD (formerly of Indianapolis) died on Wednesday, May 31, 2023 in Ruston, Louisiana while traveling with his wife to a much-anticipated family reunion (DeLuciaPalooza) in San Antonio, Texas.

Born on March 8, 1939 in Penns Grove, New Jersey to Nicholas V. and Madora King DeLucia, Jerry was the oldest of five children. A proud graduate of the University of Notre Dame, he was a lifelong lover of the Fighting Irish and instilled this in his three surviving children: Jerome (Marjorie) of San Antonio, Texas; Jeanne of Carrollton, Texas; and John (Amy) of Fishers, Indiana.

Jerry is also survived by his devoted and beloved wife Anne; siblings Judy Murphy of Roseville, California and Claude (Susi) DeLucia of Bennington Vermont; grandchildren Joshua, Jillian, Jacob, Jack, and Janelle; great grandchildren Jianna and Jemma: and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Aunt Jennie Monticelli, Uncle Tom, siblings Nick and Neal, and grandson Jerome.

His career spanned six decades and many states. He spent most of his work life in not-for-profit executive leadership with the United Way and Salvation Army. He earned a Masters degree from Drake University while living in Des Moines.

A funeral Mass will be held at the Shrine of the Sacred Heart in Mt. Washington, MD on Saturday 6/10 at 11 a.m..
