I remember picking jerry up from the airport in 1960 when he first came to L.A. I thought WOW a cool cousin as I was only 7 years old. he slept at our house for like a year. he slept on my bed and me in a sleeping bag on the floor. we talked all night and listened to my transistor radio. after I got out of the Navy he hired me to drive the A&M delivery van. I will always appreciate the generosity. Wished we could have been closer/ wished I could've said Thank You one last time.. RIP Jerry... lotsa love / Mike

I am a first cousin, once removed, from Jerry. My father Marty was extremely close to Jerry and his brother Freddy when they were growing up. I heard so many stories about their antics and my father treasured these memories. When A&M was in its nascent stage, my dad recalled going out to California and watching Jerry load albums into his VW. Decades later, Jerry named a horse for my dad, "Cousin Marty." Many years later, I was fortunate to spend time with him during his trips to Louisville, and stand in the backside of Churchill Downs, watching Giacomo and then Zenyatta bask in the sunshine. He was a lovely man. May his memory be a blessing.

Mr. Moss believed in helping the less fortunate people get free dental, medical and vision care. He was a kind generous man who helped California CareForce provide this care to thousands of people.

I've always admired Jerry Moss and have thought of him as a magnificent human being. From the era of producing wonderful music, to his support of horse racing, particularly Zenyatta, he wowed me. But now that I know that he had works of Alexei von Jawlensky (my favorite painter) in his art collection, he just elevated himself to Sainthood status for me.

I was in awe of Jerry from the very beginning - well before his mind-blowing successes turned him into a lifelong legend. He was the son of my mom's Aunt Rose, and drove out to California to seek his fortune. Once in town, he came to stay at our place for a while. I awoke in the middle of the night to find a handsome young man sleeping in my brother's bed (definitely not my 9 year old brother). The next morning this handsome stranger was introduced to me as my 2nd cousin, Jerry. I was already intrigued but what really clenched the deal was that he let me watch him shave. Every stroke. I was about 3 years old - he, 20 years my senior. This will always be my favorite memory of him and it's the first thing I think of when I hear his name. From then on, I've always looked up to my Cousin Jerry, so intensely proud of his incredible succession of accomplishments, his wisdom and enthusiasm, his casual elegance and his boundless curiosity. So proud to say we're family. Oh, he will be so missed. Please accept my deepest condolences to dear Herbie, to Jerry's beautiful wife, Tina, to Ronnie and all of his beloved children and loving friends.

October 2, 2010 was a special night. Zenyatta had won her 19th consecutive race and my mom and I hung out with her, and Jerry & Ann Moss, for an hour. Jerry is laughing because my mom and Ann were talking all kinds of baby talk to Zenyatta. It was a sweet and special moment.

Blessings, healing, and love to his family and friends. Godspeed Mr. Moss.

My heart is very saddened by hearing of Jerry Moss' demise. I have almost all of Herb Alpert and the Tijuana Brass' CD's. I play them every week and feel so good in hearing them. This is feel good music!!! I also saw Herb Alpert in concert when I was in my early to mid 20's. Thanks to Jerry Moss and Herb Alpert for bringing music to my life that I truly cherish and will always love.

I went to see Herb Alpert in 2019 at the Smith Center, Las Vegas. I sat directly next to Jerry. He signed my Whipped Cream CD and posed for photos. He had a great time like everyone else. Wonderful memory for me, meeting a show biz legend. We thank him for all he did for music.

Thank you Jerry for entrusting me with your personal and business as your financial consultant for many wonderful years before taking retirement. You were always kind and generous; caring; and it was not only rewarding in so many years, but a privilege that changed my life. You were a "Menche"; a true mentor; and your loyalty over the years was appreciated beyond. You treated me as extended family; always concerned about my welfare; and always included me in your special events, and annual holiday celebrations. Fond memories and stories forever. My you now bring joy and happiness to all those that awaited your arrival in heaven. Your an angel that will always look after those you loved and cared about; those that needed a helping hand; and those with talents that you show cased. You will forever be remembered my friend. May you RIP.

I worked at A&M Records from 1970-1980. I started at 19 years old, music was my first love, one of my first albums was The Lonely Bull at 11 years old. Herb and Jerry created the most amazing environment for their artists and their staff. It was an honor to be in their presence. I didn´t know Jerry but it was obvious he was a very kind man. You could see it in his eyes. He will be missed by so many people that he touched in so many ways.

They don't make 'em like Herb Alpert and Jerry Moss anymore. They set the bar so high, no one tried to match it. Jerry's astute skills in founding and overseeing A&M Records and Almo/Irving/Rondor Music were unmatched. His generous philanthropic contributions to the arts and other charities are immeasurable. Jerry will be deeply missed by all of us whose lives he touched.
