Jerry Michael Adcox

March 14, 1947 - November 4, 2025

With hearts full of love and gratitude for his life, the family of Jerry Michael Adcox announces his passing on November 4, 2025, in Beatty, Nevada, at the age of 78.

Jerry was born in Downey, California, and spent his youth in Washington State, where he developed the curiosity, faith, and determination that guided him throughout his life. Over the years, he made homes and friendships across Washington, Oregon, Utah, Wyoming, New Mexico, and Nevada-leaving lasting impressions wherever he went.

A devoted educator and mentor, Jerry dedicated his career to teaching history and government, as well as coaching track and football. He was not only a teacher in the classroom but a life coach to countless students and athletes, instilling in them integrity, perseverance, and a lifelong love of learning. Deeply patriotic, Jerry held a profound respect for his country and its founding ideals. His lessons often reflected his belief in civic duty, freedom, and the importance of understanding the principles that shaped the nation he loved.

Jerry was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Connie Adcox; his parents, L.D. and Ruth Ann Norris Adcox; his sisters, Linda Adcox Greenacre and Vicki Adcox Bean; his sister-in-law, Marilyn Adcox; his brother-in-law, Don Nelson; and his granddaughter, Madison Bailey.

He is survived by his children, Kyle Adcox, Luke Adcox (Allison), Gregory Wasson (Christina), Erin Adcox Bailey (David), and Paul Adcox (Betsy); his brother, Dennis Adcox; and his sister, Ann Adcox Nelson. He is also survived by his brother- and sister-in-law, Rodger and Donna Pearson; his brothers-in-law, Paul Bean and Al Greenacre; his cherished grandchildren, Austin, Lucas, Braydon (Hilda), Kianna, Emily, Audrey, Mia, Floyd, Paul Jr., and Anna; his great-grandchildren, Brielle and Kinsley-Rune; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Jerry's faith in God was steadfast and central to his life. He was deeply devoted to his church and always willing to lend a hand to anyone in need. He found peace and joy in hiking with his dogs and visiting historical landmarks-ever curious and full of wonder for the stories of the world around him.

Those who knew Jerry will remember his humor, his quiet strength, his love of country, and his unwavering belief in the good in people. His legacy endures in his family, his students, and the many lives he touched.

Services will be held on November 29, 2025, from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. at the Beatty Community Center, with a graveside service immediately following. Beatty
