Jerry Clapp

Jerry Clapp, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather and outdoor enthusiast, passed away on February 15th, 2023 at the age of 77. He was married to his devoted wife, Val for 50 years and was a loving father to his three children, Jeff, Jannette and Chad.

Jerry was known for his love of fishing and hunting, and he spent many happy hours in the great outdoors pursuing his passions. One year, he was the first person to catch the presidential Atlantic Salmon in the Penobscot River, a moment that brought him great pride and joy.

Jerry's love for animals extended beyond his hunting and fishing pursuits, as he considered each of his dogs to be a beloved member of his family. He cherished the time he spent with them, whether it was on a walk through the woods or cuddled up by the fire.

One of Jerry's favorite pastimes was playing cribbage, and he was always up for a game with anyone who was willing to play.

Jerry's passing is a great loss to all who knew him, and he will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and community. His legacy of love, dedication, and appreciation for nature and animals will live on in the memories of those who were fortunate enough to know him.

He is survived by his wife Valerie, Son Jeff and his wife Cindy, daughter Jannette her husband Rich, son Chad, Grandchildren Christian, Cassie her husband Cody, Patrick, Macy, Catherine, and Myles, great grandchildren Xavier, Mason and Graysen. Granddogs Dawson and Scout.

There will be no services per Jerry's request. Just remember him next time you cast a line or give your dog an extra treat for him.
