Dambro, Jerry 7/24/1933 - 2/17/2023 Saginaw, Michigan Dambro, Jerry L. Our loving mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and dear friend to many, passed away peacefully on Friday, February 17, 2023 at Primrose Retirement Community of Midland. She was 89 years old. Jerry L. LeVeque was born on July 24, 1933 in Saginaw to the late Lloyd and Mary (Hill) LeVeque. She graduated from Saginaw High School where she was a drum majorette. Jerry met her husband Anthony "Tony" Dambro at a dance, and they were married in 1953. Jerry was well known for her love of music and soprano voice. She sang with many groups including being a Cantor for several years at St. Stephen Catholic Church, the Germania Choir, the Saginaw Choral Society and SVSU. She served on the Saginaw Township Board of Appeals, was a member of the Saginaw Country Club and was the first female member of the Saginaw Club. Jerry is survived by her children: Toni K. Dambro, Spencer T. Dambro and Kathryn M. "Katie" Dambro; grandchildren: Danielle (Ricardo) Torres, McKinley "Mac" Dambro, Chelsey (Adam) Dambro, Katie (Andrew) Honigford, Nick Dambro, Lauren Dambro and Megan (Brad) Dambro; many great grandchildren; sister, Judy Jaenicke; many nieces and nephews, extended family and dear friends. Jerry was preceded in death by her husband, Tony; son, Michael Dambro; and her brother, Thomas LeVeque. In keeping with Jerry's wishes, cremation has taken place. A celebration of life will be held on her 90th birthday in July. MEMORIALS: Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider a donation to the Saginaw Bay Symphony Orchestra (SBSO) or the Saginaw Choral Society. As an usher at the Temple Theatre, I looked forward to seeing Jerry come in where she always met me with a smile a hug and always a kiss. I had volunteered with Jerry with the Saginaw Symphony Orchestra Service.. a fundraising group for orchestra in the 80's. I can truthfully say that she was one of my favorite people to see. She was the kind of person that you would hope would multiply and stay around forever... always such a joy!!!!!

I had the pleasure of meeting your mother when I was on the Saginaw Bay Orchestra board and Jerry was chairing the SBSO Christmas House walk. She asked me to captain a house. She was such a nice person, gracious lady, had a great personality and very committed to the symphony. May wonderful memories of your mother comfort you at this time.

I am so sorry to hear Jerry has passed away and I will miss her. She was quite an outstanding personality; intelligent, kind, considerate, loving, happy.-, a constant giver of herself and her resources. I don't know where she is now, but I am sure that wherever it is, she is drawing people to her like moths to soft lamp light. Everyone wanted to be where Jerry was. She was the life of the party, the consoler when you needed consolation, the source of so much information and knowledge. She was a friend. She was definitely Saginaw's own version of Mame; not only could she sing it, she "got the banjos strumming" , "made the weeping willows smile", was "inspirational" and "just sensational". You will be missed, Jerry.
