Jerry Lee Fagg Sr.

Jerry Lee Fagg Sr., 68, peacefully went to be with our Lord Wednesday, Nov. 5, 2008, after fighting a long battle with cancer. He was born on May 29, 1940, to Everett and Frances May (Wycoff) Fagg, in Dresser. Jerry is lovingly remembered by his wife and best friend of 50 years, Sue (Drake) Fagg; their children, Jerry Lee Jr., Randy (Brenda), Steve (Diana), Tim (Sally), Mike (Dee), Karen (Eric), Brad, Annetta (Steve) and Kevin; 24 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; his mother, Frances Fagg; and siblings, Judy Cash, Larry, Eugene, Deb Walls and Pam Shaw. Jerry is also fondly remembered by numerous nieces and nephews, extended family and friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Everett T. Fagg; and two grandchildren.Jerry did many things in his life, not only was he a wonderful husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He became Post Commander of S.A.L. (Sons of the American Legion) Wayne Newton Post 346, a member of Wabash Valley Musicians Hall of Fame. He entertained many people of the Wabash Valley and surrounding areas with his amazing voice and music for over 40 years. Jerry started performing for people at a young age, he sang at Willy Ketner Methodist Church on Harding Ave., in Terre Haute. He attended Hulman Street Wesleyan Church in Terre Haute. Jerry worked most of his life, until he was unable to do so any more. He worked for National Stran Steel Corporation 3498 for 25 years and Wayne Newton Post 346 American Legion for 11 years.Funeral services are 11 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 11, 2008, in DeBaun Springhill Chapel, 85 E. Springhill Drive, with Dr. Dan Willis officiating. Burial is in New Harmony Cemetery. Visitation is 4 to 8 p.m. Monday, Nov. 10, 2008, in the funeral home and from 9 a.m. until service time Tuesday, Nov. 11, 2008.
