Jerry Spencer Fitzhugh

I am so sorry to hear of Jerry's death. So many years have passed since he and I were in college together. Seeing Jerry and me in one of the photos brought back many fond memories of care free days. My sincere condolences to his brothers and their families.

I have very fond memories of Jerry. He had a great sense of humor and was always very entertaining. I just happened to think about him last month and tried to find him on the internet with no luck. I thought I would try again and found his obituary instead. What a shock! The pictures are a nice way to remember him. I feel so sad for his family. I know you all miss him so very much. I loved Jerry too.

Jerry and I were classmates in Freer and really good friends. He has been missed for years for those of us who only knew in Freer, but he is missed by so many more now. I suppose his work was done. My condolences to the family - the Fitzhughs are wonderful!

I lost track of Jerry after leaving Freer to attend college, but I remember him as a genuine good guy. In high school, he was one of those rare people who could be popular and down to earth at the same time. There wasn't a snobbish bone in his body, and he earned the respect and affection of everyone who knew him. I'm very sad to hear the news.

It's been about 40 + years since I have seen Jerry, but I went to school with him and remember him from that time. He was a very nice guy and very respectful. He was only a year older than me in school. I was very sorry to hear of his passing. It sounds like he was a great guy later in life also. The world will miss a person like this and it is such a shame to go so young. May you rest in peace.
