I cant say enough how much this man means to me. He was honestly larger than life in my eyes. Even though Im not blood related (Im just dating his grandaughter), hes always treated me like family. A memory I'll never forget is after my MMA fight on Nov 6th, Jerry met me outside of the cage with a hug, and told me he was proud of me. It didnt mean as much to me then as it does now. Looking back I know he truly meant it, and that means more to me than anything he could've ever done for me. God called home a loving, yet fierce Christian warrior on Nov 27th, and the world lost a great man. Its hard, but we all know that Gods will is best and He wanted to bring home His child and take away his pain. I love you Papaw Jerry. I'll never enter the ring without thinking of you...I hope I make you proud
