Jerry Matthew Hynson

My Uncle Vernon and Jerry were very close. I had started a family tree many years ago and I know that he started our family tree back in the late 90's and I wanted to continue on. I am very sorry to hear that he has past. We send our condolences to the family.

Jerry was teaching a class on researching your family at the Maryland Historical Society in Baltimore. I attended that class and he invited me to a BAAHGS meeting. That year in 1999 I became a member and has been a member ever since. A great decision stems from a wonderful man.

When I came to Baltimore over a decade ago, Mr. Hynson quickly became one of my role models in the local genealogy community. He had a charming personality and was such a nice person to work with. I will miss him dearly. My condolences to his family.

Although our paths led us in different directions after high school, Jerry was the first person my parents thought was good enough to take me on my first date. Jerry was one of my first friends. We met as little kids in Sunday School at New Shiloh Baptist Church.

My condolences to Yvonne, Charles, Timothy and all of the family. May you sense God's love, God's mercy and God's ever presence during this difficult time.
