With apologies for being so late to respond as I only learned of this last night, but my most heartfelt and profound sympathies to the Moon family and all those who knew and loved Jerry (and as evident here, it is a very long list). I can never forget the '85 Springsteen concert, his "hijinx" after a long lunch at UTP one afternoon, and his trust in me to lease his place on Wanita shortly thereafter when he and Pat were transferred to UK...he could really make one feel like part of the family. I unfortunately didn't get to see him much during the intervening years, but will always remember him well. He will truly be missed by everyone that loved him. God-speed old friend.

Jerry hired me in 2008 to come join a new startup called Coastal Energy Thailand. There were not many of us and we were a tight group....and succesful. He was my boss and a great friend. I dont think i have ever laughed so much as i did in that 6 years. He was always available, welcoming, funny and just a great guy. He was so proud of his amazing daughters and i know he was an awesome Dad. i still cant believe he is gone. His passing leaves a very large hole in many many hearts. Will miss you bud........especially that laugh and that smile.

It is with a really deep sense of sadness that I hear of Jerry's untimely passing, he was a truly great guy, an absolute gentleman with a lovely sense of humour. I first met Jerry in Karachi, Pakistan, in the late 1980's and early 90's, when we were both working for Union Texas Petroleum, and I have truly wonderful memories of him and Pat there, and again in Houston some ten years later. The world will be a much lesser place without Jerry in it, and my heartfelt thoughts and prayers go out to his lovely wife Pat, daughters Michelle and Erica, and all the Moon family. May God bless and comfort you all during these very sad and trying times.

I just found out about Jerry's passing this morning and as I walked out the door there was a gold moon setting on the horizon. Vickey and I were moving in to Karachi with trepidation when Jerry and his family were heading back to the States. Jerry advised this is no big deal, you will be fine. His re-assurance and camaraderie meant so much to us.

It was hard not to love Jerry. He was such a gentleman, sincere, committed and despite his size, gentle. It was easy to be in his company and always fun. He certainly loved a party and liked to be in control of the music! In fact he was so passionate about music that he persuaded me to pass over my record collection. He seemed to be good at everything, bowling, darts and cooking. Pat wasn't so keen on his 'sofa darts' but that was a measure of his mischief too. His BBQ beef fillet was memorable. Apparently he was very good at his job too. Most importantly he was a loving and devoted husband and a very proud father.
Jerry will be greatly missed.
Much love to you and your family Pat. xxx

Just like the music that he loved so much Jerry was always up beat, with a kind heart and a great smile to share with those he loved and enjoyed being with. He and his family will always be remembered as one of our family's best friends. We all shared great memories. My prayers are with Pat, her daughters and all of their family.

I first met Jerry in Pakistan and really enjoyed working with him and getting to know him. Over the last 25 years with both of us being in the oil business, we would run into each other from time to time. He was always upbeat and positive, so it was always great to see him and I always went away feeling a little more upbeat and a little more happy. Jerry was a great guy!

Marleah and I are saddened by the loss of a great man. Jerry Moon was a light in our lives and we were distressed to see this light snuffed out so early. We appreciate Jerry's friendship while we were in Pakistan and his calm reassuring analysis as a G&G expert in helping develop UTP's Badin field. He will be sorely missed. Our deepest sympathies to Pat and family. Sincerely Rich and Marleah MacDougal

Allen & I are so saddened to hear of Jerry's passing. He fought a very good fight, with strength and humor, which was his character. We have great memories of our expat days, with Jerry & Pat in Karachi & London and to have remained in touch over the years. We will miss Jerry's deep, happy laugh and the twinkle in his eye! We will continue to keep Pat, the girls & the entire family in our thoughts and prayers during this difficult time. Much love!

Jerry was one of the good guys. The exploration business has lost one of its best. I will never forget his high energy, wit, humor, and his friendship. Most of all his "million dollar" smile. He always brightened a room when he walked in. Judy and I extend our deepest sympathy to Pat and his daughters. We have great memories of our time with the Moons in Pakistan.
