Jerry Pate

Jerry Pate BRADLEY -- Jerry Pate, 66, resident of Bradley, SC, passed away Monday, Feb. 22, 2016 at the Hospice House in Greenwood, SC. Born in Yancey County, NC, he was a son of the late Alvin and Grace Sherlin Pate. Jerry was retired from Duke Power as a lineman and supervisor. He was a faithful member of Shepherd's Chapel. Survivors include: his beloved wife, Linda Birchfield Pate of the home; one son, Jerry Steven Pate of Bradley; two daughters, Lisa Braswell and Patricia Wright, both of Bradley, SC; a sister-in-law, Julie Ann Pate of Jacksonville, FL; granddaughter, Cynthia Renee Ashley of Honolulu, Hawaii; a number of other grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his grandparents Frank and Fannie Pate, who reared him in their home and a brother, Ronnie Lee Pate. A Celebration of Jerry's life will be conducted Friday, Feb. 26, 2016 at 2 p.m. in Rehoboth United Methodist Church, 1808 Callison Hwy., Greenwood, SC, with the Rev. Carol Pepperswray officiating.
