YOU ARE NEVER ALONE
Jerry was one of the first friends I made when I got to Fliegerhorse Kaserne in Hanau, Germany. He looked out for me when I first got there and even taught me how to shine my boots. He was crazy over his wife, Ms Donna Kay and always made it known to all of us. He was a very competitive and overall great and classy guy. I’m glad that I got to know him and his wife and I know that he’s up there shooting hoops and doing no look passes to Kobe in heaven. God bless Ms Donna and the kids and I’m grateful that I met your husband and father.Fly with angels and continue to watch over your wife and kids, Jerry. Love you always , my brother.

I am so glad we met on the road of life! It was a honor to serve with you! You would say things to me that I would not expect you to say, and it would make me think! You would rub it in when we went out on Army exercises and you stayed back to play on the Army Europe basketball team! Don’t be stubborn my friend, RIP. Thank YOU for the memories!

This is so sad. I feel terrible for Donna and all the Phair family. Jerry was a great person. I loved talking basketball with him. I am out of town and feel terrible that I can't attend the viewing to talk to the family in person. I am praying for you all during this difficult time.

Jerry you will be missed, you’ve been like a little brother to me. I’ve had a lot of respect for you since you were just a kid, and you’ve developed into a man among men. You’ve got a magnetic, charismatic personality with a fun loving manner. You’re a superb natural athlete, your basketball skills are off the chart. But baseball, volleyball, corn hole, ping pong, pool, darts it doesn’t matter they all came easy for you to master. And to top it off you’re a natural born leader, and an all around good guy. Yes I’ll miss you! Of course you know Darlene thought of you as Superman! Rudy II and Sarah loved and looked up to their Uncle Jerry, as did Layla. Rest In Peace , and say hello to Diana!

Jerry was such a great guy. One that everyone enjoyed being around. The last time I saw Jerry was at Taylor's softball game. You always knew he was around somewhere if it involved a ballgame. My sister Linda Simpson and I got to know Jerry through his sister Diane. They will be loving on one another in heaven. A great man.
