Jerry "B.J." Reynolds II

Jerry G. Reynolds II was born in Dallas, TX on June 23, 1983. He was known by all as B.J. and went to his final resting place with God on August 15, 2013 surrounded by family and friends who loved him deeply. B.J. attended school throughout the years in Plano, and was always active in soccer. He had a love of cars from the time he could walk and talk. He began working at an early age at Prestige Ford in Garland and for the last 7 years, he has been with Five Star Ford in Carrollton, TX where he was a Sales Manager. B.J. has been recognized as being one of the top Ford salespeople in the entire Southwest region, not only for sales but for customer satisfaction, something he took very seriously. Known as a bit of a prankster, B.J. lived life to the fullest, right up to the minute he became ill almost 4 years ago. Although a mechanical device made his heart work, it did not change what a sweet heart he had. Many people would have given up on life at that point, but not our B.J. He continued to function, working and playing as hard as ever. The family has enjoyed hearing many stories this week from B.J.'s friends about adventures they had been on. B.J. had a love of water and lived for the times he could be on his boat before he became ill, and you always knew he would be driving a beautiful Ford pickup with lots of chrome and big tires and wheels. B.J. had an infectious smile and incredible sense of humor. It was clear recently when he became ill the final time that he was loved by hundreds. Many of those friends remarked that the world will not be the same without B.J. in it, but all agreed that heaven just became a little more fun. It is appropriate that B.J. had a Superman tattoo on his back. In the months and years he fought the kryptonite that attacked his sweet heart, many counted him out, but our Superman kept coming back. B.J. is survived by his father, Jerry G. Reynolds and wife Kelly; his mother, Sandy Reynolds; grandparents, Don and Jo Elliott; aunts and uncles, Gary and Alicia Elliott, Jim and Jackie Warneke, Jim and Darlene Reynolds; and extended family, John and Molly Ellis and Linda Glynn. The family would also like to express thanks to the many friends who visited B.J. in the hospital, in particular, Ryan Hildebrant who was with B.J. tirelessly throughout his journey. In addition, the many caregivers who loved him and fought so hard to save him. B.J. will be desperately missed by many, but if he were here, he'd tell us to be strong and not shed any tears. We all have beautiful memories of a man loved by many, and a life that ended far too soon. When we see him again, there will be no wires, or batteries, and no bag around his neck, just that loving smile that melted the hearts of so many. In lieu of flowers family would like donations to be made to the American Heart Association or Kidd's Kids.
