JERRY HUNT SINCLAIR Jerry Sinclair passed away peacefully on April 25th 2016. He was strong, loving, ready with a smile and a hug, and enjoying life to the end. Jerry and his twin Bruce were born on April 30th 1929, in Artesia, New Mexico to Bert Thomas Sinclair and Helen Cleveland Sinclair. He was in the Navy from 1950-1954 and he was proud of his service. He married Barbra Jean Abbott on June 19th 1955 in the Napa Presbyterian church. His daughters were born in Humboldt: Abbie Jean in 1956 and Jerrie Lynn in 1957. He graduated from Humboldt State in 1959. He worked as a glazier. In 1965 Jerry and Barbra became missionaries with the Presbyterian Church to Ebolowa, Cameroon, West Africa. There they served as houseparents of the dormatory at the missionary school from 1966 to 1973. After returning to California, the family settled in Napa. In 1974 he started his stained glass business, Gothic Glass. He taught stained glass classes and with Barbra hosted several stained glass tours to Europe. His stained glass windows can be seen in many buildings in the Napa area. In 1994 Jerry and Barbra spent five months working on the restoration of the windows in the Sinclair castle chapel in Roslin. He sold Gothic Glass and retired in 1995. Jerry and Barbra moved back to Eureka,CA. In his retirement he enjoyed and was active in the Fuschia Society, Humboldt Bay A's, Habitat for Humanity, Blue Lake Presbyterian Church, Clan Sinclair USA and Northcoast Scottish Society. Jerry is survived by his wife of 60 years, Barbra, his daughters: Abbie Adkerson (Jim) and Jerrie Sinclair; grandchildren: Ricardo Thompson, Jeremy Bader and Jeana Bader; 8 great-grandchildren, siblings: Mollie SInclair, Kathryn Owens, Will Sinclair and his twin Bruce Sinclair.
